When you need to combine images

Sometimes you do not need a fancy collage, you just need several pictures turned into one file: a comparison for a message, a before-and-after for a listing, or two screenshots joined for a tutorial. Combining images makes them easy to share, upload or print as a single picture instead of sending a dozen separate files.

Ways to combine your photos

Grid mode or free placement

Grid mode is best when you want a clean, aligned result where every photo lines up. Free mode is better when you want a more personal, layered look and want images to overlap. You can switch between the two at any time and keep the same photos.

How to combine two photos

  1. Add the photos you want to merge.
  2. Choose side by side, stacked or a small grid.
  3. Drag each photo to set the crop and adjust the gap between them.
  4. Pick a background color if the images do not fill every edge.
  5. Download the finished image as PNG, JPG or WebP.

Tips for a clean merge

Keep the gap small for a seamless join, or add spacing and a background color when the photos have very different edges. If two images have different heights, use the fit and zoom controls so the important part of each photo stays visible. For screenshots, a white background usually looks cleanest.

Private and free

Your images are combined on your device by the tool, not sent to a server, so there is no upload wait and nothing is stored online. There is no account to create and no watermark on the result.

Combine images for listings, messages and docs

Merging pictures into one file is often about convenience. For a marketplace listing, a single side-by-side image shows two angles at once and uploads faster than separate photos. For a chat or email, one combined picture is easier to view than a gallery. For a document or slide, a two-up or four-up block keeps related images together. Because the result is a single high-resolution file, it drops cleanly into whatever you are working on.

Combine images without quality loss

Each photo is drawn onto a large canvas, so your combined image stays sharp rather than shrinking to a thumbnail. Export as PNG when you need crisp edges and text, or as JPG and WebP when you want a smaller file for quick sharing. Nothing is re-uploaded or re-compressed on a server, so the quality you see in the preview is the quality you download.

Combine images FAQ

How do I put two photos side by side?

Add two photos and choose the side-by-side layout. Adjust the gap and background if needed, then download a single combined image.

How do I stack two photos on top of each other?

Add two photos and pick the stacked (top and bottom) layout. This vertical pairing works well for phone screens and Stories, and you can set the gap between the two images.

How do I make a before-and-after image?

Use the side-by-side or stacked layout with two photos, keep the gap thin so the two states read as one comparison, and centre the same subject in both cells. Then download a single before/after image.

Can I merge more than two images?

Yes. You can combine up to 12 photos into one image using grid layouts or free placement, with layouts that adapt to how many photos you add.

Can I add a border or a caption to the combined image?

Yes. You can add a coloured border around each photo and drop in a caption you can drag, resize and recolour. Both are included in the downloaded image.

Will the images be uploaded to a server?

No. Photos are merged locally in your browser using the Canvas and are not uploaded or stored by the tool. Close the tab and nothing is kept.

What formats can I download, and can I print the result?

Export as PNG, JPG or WebP at full resolution. PNG keeps edges and text sharp and is best for printing, while JPG and WebP are smaller for sharing. There is no watermark and no quality loss.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It runs in any modern mobile browser, with a shortcut bar for adding photos, choosing layouts, adjusting tools and saving the combined image.
